Valmikam madhuharascha purvapakshetu chandrama,

Rajadravyam cha bhaiksyam cha sthoka sthoke na vardhante!

An anthill (valmika), a honeycomb (madhuhara), and the moon during its waxing phase (purvapakshetu chandrama) do not grow or thrive by relying solely on past efforts. Likewise, the king’s wealth (rajadravyam) and the alms of a monk or beggar (bhaiksyam) do not increase (na vardhante) little by little (sthoka stoke) without continuous effort and renewal. This ancient Sanskrit wisdom is a profound metaphor for leadership, especially for women who manage the complexities of leading with grace, resilience, and vision of the future.
